Public Transport - The light rail will take you to Dickson Shops. ANCA is outside of the main Dickson shopping area. Rosevear place runs off Antill Street. It is approximately 10-15 minutes walk. I'm not 100% about how good the footpaths are, however there are footpaths that take you there from Dickson. There is a footpath that starts near the bus stop, which faces the pool. Go across the crossing, towards the pool and follow the footpath on the left of the pool. Turn right at Antill Street, (follow the footpath around), Keep walking a few hundred metres and you will come to Rosevear Place. The gallery will be on your left.
Bus routes - Route number R9, runs from Belconnen, goes to Watson, via Dickson.
Route number 50, runs from the City Interchange to Watson, via Downer, Dickson and Lyneham.
ANCA staff will be watching over the exhibition from Wednesday to Friday. Myself or my partner will be there on weekends.

Accessibility Details

The gallery is wheelchair and mobility aid accessible to some wheelchairs. Large mobility aids will not fit through the door. The width of the door is 1.7 metres wide with the doors opening outward. I will organise to have a phone number visible on the inside of the door, so you can ring the number if you need assistance getting the door/s open. The car park is quite uneven gravel, and the concrete slope to the door is quite steep. I will endeavour to make a film of accessing the gallery.

There are 5 crochet works will be able to be touched. I will provide hand wipes for everyone to use before handling the work.
For an audio tour of the exhibition click here This link will take you to a separate you tube page. Audio recording is 18.13 minutes long.

The works will have their titles written in braille and there will QR codes which you can use your smart phone to scan, which will take you to a YouTube clip that will provide you with an audio description. Bring your device and ear buds.
I am not audio description trained, but I have done my best to give descriptions for all the works. Anyone can access these, you can also access the open captions on the videos.
There are 5 crochet works which can be touched. There are 18 drawings each will have an audio description. Each description is between 3 minutes and about 10 minutes. You will be able to listen to these at the gallery or in the comfort of your own home (or other place). I will put links to everything on this page.

Information at the exhibition will be available in large print and plain English.
Gallery spaces are generally very quiet, apart from at the opening or if other events are held. The ANCA gallery staff look after the exhibition from Wednesday to Friday. Either myself or my partner, Jive will be there on weekends. I will post updates at the top of this page to let people know what I am doing.
